Why did I receive an expiring credit card notice?


The following describes what to do if you receive an expiring credit card notice from DreamHost.

Why did I receive this?

If you have a credit card on file that's about to expire, DreamHost sends the following email to you:

Hey there,

The card you have on file is expiring next week! In order to avoid permanent data loss and interruptions to your website, please update your billing information with an active card.

This is a courtesy email from DreamHost to remind you to visit the panel as soon as possible to update your credit card on file.

What should I do?

If you wish to continue to use the credit card on file:

  1. Navigate to the Manage Payments page in the panel.
  2. Click the Change button that appears next to your credit card.
  3. Use the instructions in the following article to add your card again with the new expiration date:
