Overview
You can create a Certificate Signing Request (CSR) file on your DreamHost web server after purchasing an SSL certificate, then submit it to your Certificate Authority (CA) so they can issue the certificate.
How do I create a CSR file?
You can purchase an SSL certificate directly from any Certificate Authority (CA) you like and install it into your DreamHost panel. To do this, you'll need a Certificate Signing Request (CSR) created on your DreamHost web server. You must then give this CSR to your Certificate Authority so they can create the SSL certificate for you.
See this article for instructions on how to create a CSR file.
