Overview
This article provides a thorough guide of the Bunny CDN metrics dashboard that's available for your DreamPress site.
Prerequisites
Bunny CDN must be enabled for the metrics dashboard to be available. To enable Bunny CDN, follow this article.
The Bunny CDN metrics dashboard
This section details how you can access and review the Bunny CDN dashboard.

- Click the Manage button to open the Domain Settings page, which allows you to adjust various settings for your site.
- Click the Traffic tab.
- Select Bunny CDN.
Understanding Bunny CDN metrics
The following table describes each section on the Bunny CDN dashboard page:
Section | What it shows | Why it matters |
---|---|---|
Bandwidth Used |
A line chart indicating the following:
|
This provides an idea of overall data transfer amounts. Comparing Cached vs. Uncached bandwidth indicates how effectively Bunny CDN is serving from cache. |
Requests Served |
A doughnut chart indicating the number of user requests made to your site's CDN and their outcomes. Requests Served refers to the total number of requests that have been successfully processed and delivered by Bunny CDN. |
Helps track overall website traffic. A high number of successful requests indicates the CDN is properly delivering content. Monitoring unsuccessful requests helps you spot potential issues with your CDN configuration. |
Average Response Time |
A line chart showing the daily average response time (in seconds) for requests served over the selected date range. |
Shows how quickly (on average) site assets are loading. |
Geo Traffic Distribution |
A world map of bandwidth usage by geographic location. |
Details which countries consume the most bandwidth. Helps identify where your audience is located, allowing decisions to optimize content for specific regions. |
Cache Hit Rate |
A comparative chart of Cache Hits vs Server Hits:
|
A high percentage of Cache Hits reduces origin load and can improve site performance. A low Cache Hit rate can signal a suboptimal caching configuration or frequently changing content that doesn't stay cached. |
Pull Requests |
A bar chart displaying how many pull requests Bunny CDN makes to your origin server over a given time period. |
Indicates how often the CDN must retrieve new or updated content from the origin. |
Origin Shield Internal Bandwidth Used (Coming Soon) |
Shows the amount of data transferred from your origin to Bunny CDN's Origin Shield location(s). Origin Shield is a feature that helps reduce the number of direct pulls from your origin by caching content in 'shield' locations before distributing it to other nearby regions. |
This reflects data transferred between the CDN and your origin, when Bunny CDN pulls content that isn't cached. Monitoring this bandwidth will help assess how effectively Origin Shield reduces traffic to your site. |
Non 2xx Requests Served |
Stacked or Layered chart providing a breakdown of requests resulting in 3xx (redirects), 4xx (client errors), or 5xx (server errors). |
This gives deeper insight into overall 'Failed Requests'. Useful for pinpointing common errors and diagnosing misconfigurations or broken links. |
Origin Traffic (Coming Soon) |
Chart showing the volume of data transferred directly from the origin server to the user's browsers. |
Helps assess the load on your origin server and how much of that load the CDN is offsetting. The lower this traffic, the more effectively Bunny CDN serves cached content. |
How to get the most out of the Bunny CDN dashboard
The Bunny CDN dashboard provides helpful information that you can use to proactively troubleshoot issues, fine-tune your caching strategy, and ensure visitors fast, error-free browsing.
These recommendations help you optimize your DreamPress site based on data you observe on your dashboard:
Reviewing time ranges
-
Use different ranges to observe short-term spikes or long-term trends. Most charts let you select a time range (e.g., Last Day, 7 Days).
Identifying performance bottlenecks
-
Review the Average Response Time chart for sudden increases in page load times. A big drop in the Cache Hit Rate could explain a performance dip.
Monitoring errors
-
Keep an eye on the Non 2xx Requests chart for error spikes (4xx/5xx). Contact Support to help investigate recurring or large volumes of errors to address broken resources or server issues.
Leveraging Geo Traffic insights
-
Know what markets to expand into and where to target future site content by knowing where your audience is.
