Website settings overview

Overview

This article provides an overview of the various Website settings available for your domain. This provides a streamlined layout of your domain, allowing you to easily configure settings and add new services.

Opening Website settings

To open a domain's Website settings:

1. Navigate to the Manage Websites page.

2. Select either to view your websites in either Grid or List view.

   Grid View  shows basic information for all your domains in a graphical grid format (the screenshot of your site(s) updates every 24 hours).

   List View  shows all of your domains in a list-style view, which is ideal if you have many domains to display.

   You can switch between these views by clicking the Grid and List icons on the top right of the page.

3. Click the Manage button to open Website settings, which allows you to modify various configurations for your site.
   • If in Grid view, click the Manage button at the bottom of the website box.
   • If in List view, click the Manage button at the far right of your domain name.

Website setting tabs 

The following tabs appear at the top of the page:

• Dashboard
• Content
• Traffic
• Logs
• WordPress
• Security
• Settings
• DNS

Dashboard

The Dashboard tab provides a quick snapshot of the major domain settings mentioned below

Content

The Content tab is where you can manage various aspects of your website content, such as:

• Managing files
• Restoring files
• Migrating sites
• AI Content Builder

DreamPress sites also have the added option of Managing Databases. 

Traffic

The Traffic tab displays your website's visitor and bots information:

• Viewing Visitors
• Viewing Bots

Logs

The Logs tab displays your website's error and access log information:

• Viewing your error logs
• Viewing your access logs

WordPress

The WordPress tab only displays if you have previously installed WordPress using the DreamHost installer or purchased a DreamPress plan. This tab displays options to manage your WordPress installation, such as:

• Page Caching
• Image Optimization
• Changing the domain name
• Import or copy a WordPress install
• Resetting a WordPress installation

DreamPress sites also have the added option of creating a Staging Website.

Security

The Security tab is where you can add and manage website security tools, such as:

• Web Application Firewall
• SSL Certificates
• DreamShield

Settings

The Settings tab is where you can change website configurations, such as:

• PHP Version
• Directories
• Unique IP addresses
• DreamHost SEO toolkit
• Non-Hosting Options (DNS Only, Redirect, Mirror, and Park)

DreamPress sites also have the added option of configuring Bunny CDN.

DNS

The DNS tab is where you can view and customize your website's DNS records. See this article to learn more about adjusting DNS records.
