Changing your MySQL VPS billing plan

Overview

This article explains how to make changes to your MySQL VPS plan type.

Prerequisites

The following instructions assume you have already purchased a MySQL VPS plan and wish to change to a different plan.

Changing your plan type

Make sure you review your current total plan usage before changing plans. When downgrading, the new plan must have enough available storage to migrate your existing data. If the selected plan does not meet your current storage usage, the downgrade option will be unavailable.

To change your MySQL VPS plan type:

  1. Navigate to the Manage Account page.
  2. Scroll to the Active Plans section to locate your MySQL VPS.
  3. Click the Manage button to open the account page, which allows you to adjust the plan settings.
  4. Scroll down to the Change Plan section and click Select Plan within the plan you wish to change to.
  5. Click Submit Order to confirm your selection.

How am I billed when changing plans?

When you change a MySQL VPS plan, the new plan is added to your account, and then a prorated credit is issued for the remaining time on the old plan. This credit will apply to the new charge, and you will be responsible for paying the difference.
