The Website Logs page

Overview

This article provides details of the Website Logs page in the panel.

Background

The Logs page provides direct access to your website's error and access logs. This makes it easy to monitor your website traffic and troubleshoot any errors that may occur.

Log retention policy

  • The Logs tab in the panel is only available for domains added to a hosting plan
  • The Logs tab data relies on data from your site's access.log and error.log files
  • Per GDPR, DreamHost stores HTTP logs by default for 7 days

Viewing the logs in your panel

To view your logs:

  1. Navigate to the Manage Websites page.
  2. Click the Manage button to open the Domain Settings page, which allows you to adjust various settings for your site.
    • If in Grid view, click the Manage button at the bottom of the website box.
    • If in List view, click the Manage button at the far right of your domain name.
