Cancel a Self-Managed VPS

Overview

This article explains how to cancel your Self-Managed VPS plan in the panel.

Back up your data before canceling
Canceling a Self-Managed VPS permanently deletes all data stored on the server. Before you cancel, download and save any files, databases, backups, or other data you want to keep.

Because Self-Managed VPS servers are fully controlled by you, DreamHost cannot access, back up, or recover your data. Once the VPS is canceled, any remaining data is permanently lost and cannot be restored.
