Add keywords

When your website is well-optimized for search engines, search engine robots can easily understand what your website content is about and relay that information to potential visitors.
- Log in to your WordPress site.
- Navigate to DreamHost SEO Toolkit > Optimize. The Pages inventory displays.
- Click on the page or post to optimize, which opens the editor.

-
Click the Add focus keyword button to open the keyword search box.
An AI-powered suggested keyword is shown, which takes into account the content of your page or post and the keyword for which you’re most likely to rank. - Select one of the following options:
- Continue and Optimize — use the suggested keyword.
- Choose Manually — enter the desired keyword or phrase a visitor might type into a search engine.

Add competitors
Your competitors are other websites that share a similar audience with your website. For example, they may be in the same industry, sell the same types of products, or provide the same type of content.
To improve your SEO score, it's important for you to identify, monitor, and understand what kind of SEO work your competitors are putting into their websites. This way, you can compare your website's performance to theirs, and see what is working for you against your competition.
- Navigate to DreamHost SEO Toolkit > Analyze.
- Scroll down to the Your competition section.
- Click on See your competitors.
- In the left menu, click Competitors.
- Click the Add a competitor box.
-
In the box, type in the full website address (https://example.com) of the competitor you want to track and compare with your results. Alternatively, you can click Show me suggestions.
Show me suggestions provides AI-powered suggestions. If you see the message Oops, we haven't found any competitor suggestions for your website then you should enter a competitor’s website manually. - Click the Add Competitor button.
