Overview
This article explains how to make changes to your Dedicated Server plan type or billing plan.
Prerequisites
The following instructions assume you have already purchased a Dedicated Server plan and wish to change hosting or billing details to a different plan.
Changing your plan type
Make sure you review your current total plan usage before changing plans. When downgrading, the new plan must have enough available storage to migrate your existing data. If the selected plan does not meet your current storage usage, the downgrade option will be unavailable.
To change your Dedicated Server plan type:
- Navigate to the Manage Account page.
- Scroll to the Active Plans section to locate your Dedicated Server.
- Click the Manage button to open the account page, which allows you to adjust the plan settings.
- Scroll down to the Change Plan section and click Select Plan within the plan you wish to change to.
- Click Submit Order to confirm your selection.
Changing your billing plan
To change your Dedicated Server billing plan:
- Navigate to the Manage Account page.
- Scroll to the Active Plans section to locate your Dedicated Server.
- Click the Manage button to open the account page, which allows you to adjust the plan settings.
- Select Monthly or Yearly option, then click Select Plan.
- Click Submit Order to confirm your selection.
How am I billed when changing plans?
When you change a Dedicated Server plan, the new plan is added to your account, and then a prorated credit is issued for the remaining time on the old plan. This credit will apply to the new charge, and you will be responsible for paying the difference.
