DreamHost offers the ability to use Google's Single Sign-On (SSO) service to sign up with a new DreamHost account, or log into your existing DreamHost panel.
SSO helps to simplify the login process since you do not have to create or remember another user/password combination. Your Google account is the only login details you need.
Creating a new account with SSO
The following article walks you through creating a new DreamHost account.
During this process, you have the option to create an account with an email of your choice, or use Google's SSO method.
Click the Sign Up with Google button.
Some browsers are enabled with default pop-up settings that disable pop-ups from displaying. If so, you must manually allow your browser to display pop-ups. The following links show how to do this with popular browsers.
Log in with your Google email and password.
After you successfully log in, a confirmation message appears in your sign up form.
Logging into your existing account using SSO
If you have already set up a DreamHost account, you can now use SSO to log into it.
The primary email address on your DreamHost account must be the same as your Google email address in order for SSO to function. You can change the primary email in your panel be editing your contact information.
- Visit https://panel.dreamhost.com to log in.
- Click the Sign In with Google button.
- When the Google login prompt appears, enter your Google email and password to continue.
- To finish, authenticate your email address with Google.
Once authenticated, you will be able to use SSO to log into your panel.
