This article explains what Remixer is, how to use it, and a few of its key features.
Background
Remixer is an AI-powered tool that allows you to create, customize, and publish fast, static websites using natural language—no coding required.
Remixer is designed for:
- Performance-first static sites
- Simple business websites
- Landing pages
- Content-focused sites with lightweight blogs, galleries, and forms
- Basic e-commerce via Stripe integration
It is not a traditional CMS like WordPress and does not install heavy backend software.
Eligibility & requirements
To use Remixer, you must add hosting before proceeding.
Removing existing content from your website
To use Remixer, the website must be eligible, meaning it cannot have existing website files or an active WordPress installation.
If you want to use Remixer on a domain that already has content (for example, a WordPress site or custom files), you’ll need to remove or relocate that existing content first.
To make a domain eligible for Remixer, you have two options:
- Delete existing files on the domain, or
- Move the existing website content to another domain, keeping it available elsewhere
How to move existing content to another domain
Contact Support if you would like to keep your site's current custom files and move them to a different domain.
If you have a WordPress site, the existing content can be moved by following this article.
Once the content has been moved successfully, the original domain will no longer contain site files and will become eligible for Remixer.
At that point, the option to launch the tool will appear, and you can begin creating a site with Remixer.
Editing Modes
Remixer offers two distinct ways to edit a site: Preview Chat Mode via prompt and Editor Direct Mode. You can switch between these editing styles at any time.
Preview (Conversational) Mode
This is the primary user experience. You describe changes in conversation with the tool and preview changes being made. Additionally, you can target specific elements using the element selector (arrow icon) to edit a specific section of the site.
Every time the tool completes a requested edit, it automatically saves the changes.
Editor Mode
Editor Mode lets you make direct, hands-on edits to the website. Instead of asking for changes through chat prompts, you can click the arrow selector and select individual sections of the page to edit them directly.
You will be able to edit any site section, including texts, formatting, and images.
When using Editor mode, the tool does not automatically save site changes. To prevent content loss, you will need to manually save changes. If the interface closes or loses connection while using Editor mode, any unsaved changes will be lost.
Insert image/file into the chat
There are two ways to insert images or files to ask the tool to complete a process:
- Click the Attach file button and choose a file from your computer.
- Paste from the clipboard — you can upload a file or any screenshot/image you’ve copied. For example, you take a screenshot to the clipboard or click 'Copy' on an image, and then simply paste it into the chat.
This way, you can send a file/image/screenshot and ask Remixer to do something with it
Stripe and Shippo integrations
Remixer allows you to create an online store, sell products, and ship them directly from your website. The process is designed to be simple and flexible, without requiring advanced technical knowledge.
To accept payments, ecommerce functionality is implemented using Stripe. Stripe is a secure payment platform that handles transactions, checkout, and payment processing, while Remixer focuses on building and displaying the storefront on the website.
You can manage your products and payments through Stripe, and Remixer can place the necessary payment components, such as buttons or checkout links, directly into the site.
For shipping and delivery, Website Builder (Remixer) integrates with Shippo. Shippo is a shipping platform that allows you to connect with multiple carriers, calculate real-time shipping rates, generate shipping labels, and track deliveries—all in one place.
To locate the Stripe and Shippo integrations, click the Open Integrations icon on the right sidebar of your Remixer dashboard.
Getting the most out of Remixer
Remixer is a fast, AI-driven, static website builder designed to remove friction from web creation while maintaining performance, portability, and ownership.
It complements—not replaces—WordPress and is ideal for customers who want speed, simplicity, and control without managing a traditional CMS.
