This article explains how to add a domain to a DreamPress plan.
Prerequisites
To complete the instructions below, you must first add a DreamPress plan to your account. See this article for instructions.
Adding a domain to a DreamPress plan
These steps add a domain to an existing DreamPress plan.
- Navigate to the Manage Account page.
- Scroll down to Active Plans.
- Click Manage for the DreamPress plan.
- In the Sites under this plan section, click the Add Site button.

Select one of the following:
Option 1 — Move Existing Site to Your Plan
Use this option if you wish to add a domain that's already configured in your panel. Select a domain from the drop-down list and click the Confirm & Add site button.
Option 2 — Add New Domain
Use this option if your domain is not yet hosted at DreamHost.
- Enter Domain Name — Add your existing domain not hosted at DreamHost. Note that you will need to point your DNS records to DreamHost to use with the DreamPress plan.
- Create a Subdomain — Enter a subdomain for a domain already added in your panel.
- Free Temporary Domain — Enter a name to create a new staging website ending in .dream.press. For example, if your site is example.com, just type in example to create a new temporary domain titled example.dream.press.
