Adding a DreamPress plan and domain
These steps guide you through purchasing a DreamPress plan, then adding a domain to the plan.
Purchase a DreamPress plan
There are two ways to purchase a new DreamPress plan.
Option 1 — Sign up for a new DreamHost account
Use this option if you have not yet purchased a DreamHost account. During this process, you will have the option to add DreamPress as your site's hosting plan.
Option 2 — Add in the panel
Use this option if you already have a DreamHost account and wish to add a new DreamPress plan to it.
- Log in to your DreamHost panel.
- Navigate to the Managed WordPress page.
- Select a payment plan of Monthly, Yearly, or 3 Years.
- Under your preferred DreamPress plan, click the Add to Cart button.
- Review the order details.
- Click Submit Order to complete the purchase.
Add a domain to the DreamPress plan
Once the DreamPress plan is purchased, you can then proceed with adding a domain to the plan.
Option 1 — Add a domain from the panel
Use this option if you have already added a domain to your panel, or to create a new domain for the DreamPress plan.
Option 2 — Upgrade a WordPress site to DreamPress
Use this option to upgrade a WordPress site in your panel (created using the DreamHost WordPress installer) to DreamPress.
Option 3 — Migrate from another host
Use this option to migrate an existing WordPress site from another hosting company to your DreamHost account.
Managing DreamPress
After your DreamPress website is up and running, you can then log in and customize it further.
Log in to your site
The WordPress admin dashboard (wp-admin) is where you can add, edit content, and configure features for your DreamPress site.
Configure website settings
Navigate to the Manage Websites page and click the Manage button to open Website settings, which allows you to modify various configurations for your site.
Add email
See this article to create an email address for your DreamPress site. You can then log in to the email address using webmail or an email client.
