What operating system runs on a shared server?

Shared plans run on the Ubuntu operating system.
Are MySQL databases included on a shared server?

No. A Shared server only runs website files. Any databases you add in your panel will default to a separate Shared MySQL server.
You can also purchase a MySQL VPS, but this would be a second server in addition to your Shared Hosting plan.
Is Wildcard DNS supported?

No, however It is available to add Wildcard DNS if you upgrade to a VPS plan, but you must contact support to enable it. See the Wildcard DNS article for more information
