Overview
Cyberduck is a versatile FTP, SFTP, and WebDAV client and cloud storage browser available for Mac and Windows. This article explains how to connect Cyberduck to your DreamObjects account so you can browse, upload, and manage your object storage data.
How do I connect Cyberduck?
To connect Cyberduck to DreamObjects:
- Download Cyberduck.
- Download the DreamHost Cyberduck profile.
- Double-click the downloaded profile file to open it in Cyberduck.
- When prompted, enter your DreamObjects Access Key and Secret Key. To find these keys, see this DreamObjects Keys article.
- Mac — Make sure the checkbox titled Add to Keychain is checked. If you choose to save your credentials, you won’t be prompted to enter them again.
- Windows — Make sure the checkbox titled Save password is checked. If you choose to save your credentials, you won’t be prompted to enter them again.
- Click the Exit button.
How do I upload data?
Cyberduck makes it very simple to manage your data. Once you’ve connected to DreamObjects, simply click and drag files and folders to and from Cyberduck. Currently, individual object size is limited to 10TB.
How do I change permissions?
You can log in to your DreamHost panel and follow the steps in this article, or submit a ticket and a DreamHost Support representative will update them for you. Make sure to specify the bucket name you'd like the permissions changed.
